Typical Applications
CR / neoprene foam is supplied as sheet material for textile lamination and panel cutting. The laminated foam forms the flexible core of wetsuits, waders, boot linings and sports supports.
Wetsuit and water-sports panels
Fabric-laminated foam forms the body and sleeve panels of a wetsuit or other water-sports garment. Garment makers choose the foam thickness, stretch direction and textile facing together, then cut and join the panels in their own production process.
Fishing wader material
Laminated rubber foam is used in the chest and leg panels of insulated fishing waders. Send the intended laminate construction, panel thickness and joining process so the sheet can be selected around the garment pattern and production requirements.
Fishing boot linings
The foam sits inside the rubber boot shell, under a textile facing, to form a flexible lining around the foot and lower leg. Lining converters work from the available internal space, shaped pattern and required fabric-to-foam construction.
Wearable sports supports
Knee, elbow, wrist and waist supports use fabric-covered foam as a flexible layer around the body. The cut pattern, seam layout, textile stretch and finished thickness determine the construction; AITO supplies the foam base for subsequent lamination and assembly.
Choosing CR-170: CR-170 lists density 165–170 kg/m³ and Shore C hardness 20–25 °. Its compression set is <3% at 50% / 23 °C / 72 h. Compare the hardness and recovery data with the intended laminated construction.
For garment and support projects, select the thickness and textile construction together. The grade data does not specify a finished garment temperature rating, diving depth or medical performance.
Processing & Supply Options
AITO supplies raw Neoprene / CR foam sheets and laminated material for converters making wetsuit panels, sports supports, waders and boot linings.
- Thickness splitting
- Foam sheets prepared to the required thickness before lamination. State whether the target thickness is for the foam core or the finished laminate.
- Fabric lamination
- Nylon, polyester or stretch-fabric constructions reviewed to your specification. Identify the fabric required on each face and the stretch direction.
- Slitting & panel cutting
- Strips and flat panels prepared for your subsequent sewing or assembly. Supply the panel dimensions or cutting pattern.
- Die cutting & adhesive backing
- Shaped pads and backed components can be reviewed from a drawing. Confirm the intended use, bonding surface and finished construction.
AITO processing services: Grooving, slitting, lamination, CNC cutting, waterjet cutting, wire cutting, oscillating-knife cutting, strip cutting, cut-to-size work and die cutting.
The cutting method is selected for the material, thickness and drawing. Material and panel supply supports your own garment or component production. Finished sewn products are not included in this material specification.
Raw CR sheets for textile laminators, wetsuit-material converters and soft-goods manufacturers. Specify the required split thickness, sheet dimensions, textile facing and lamination construction.
Include any adhesive type, lamination layers and thickness tolerance required for further processing.
