Typical Applications
For converters making soft interface strips and gaskets for automotive HVAC, refrigeration and appliance components. Select the sheet thickness around the installed gap and available closing force.
Automotive HVAC housings and ducts
Foam strips follow the mating edges of HVAC housings and air ducts, where limited closing force makes compression load important. AITO supplies raw sheets for your strip cutting or lamination, with backing requirements matched to the plastic or metal surface.
Ventilation outlets and casing joints
At a ventilation outlet or casing joint, the strip thickness must suit the installed gap and unevenness of the mating surfaces. Include the flange drawing, available closing force and required leakage test when selecting material for your converted gasket.
Refrigeration air guides and appliance covers
Cut pieces at internal air-guide joints and appliance cover interfaces can fill assembly clearances. Specify the cold-side temperature, condensation exposure and attachment method; the finished component determines the required compression and whether adhesive backing is needed.
Choosing EPDM-SC090: EPDM-SC090 has a nominal density of 90 kg/m³ and 25% compression strength ≤5 kPa. Density tolerance is not currently published. Compare the load at your actual deflection and validate the finished part.
Supply for Your Converting Process
Specify raw-sheet thickness and dimensions, with adhesive backing or lamination where required. Maximum size: 45 × 1000 × 2000 mm.
Include any adhesive type, lamination layers and thickness tolerance required for further processing.
